This is a really an interesting read. You have outlined a lot of useful ways on how to optimize sites for search engines, I would just like to add something regarding the meta keyword tag part of your post.

Yes it’s true, years ago, people would use the meta keywords mainly to squeeze in as many keywords as they could and it worked well for them. 

It used to be an important part of the algorithm but that’s now no longer the case as placing meta keyword tags serves as a reference to the search engines on what your site is about, not necessarily to aid their rankings.
