Monetize Your Twitter Account With Twittad

September 3rd, 2008

Written by Mr Javo

As you could see in my preview post, Twitter is the most used service for micro-blogging. Many people, bloggers and not bloggers use it to share their personal links, photos and to update their statuses.

Some days ago was launched a service called Twittad which you can get paid for displaying ads on your twitter profile. It’s not something like Google Adsense or something else, it’s based on the backgrounds images. The advertiser choose a template to display the banner and the publisher get paid for displaying that image in its profile. Let’s see the details of this service and how it works:

What to do if you are a twitter user?

  1. Post Twitter account for advertisers to purchase.
  2. Select your duration & price.
  3. Wait for advertiser to purchase.
  4. Accept or Deny the proposed ad.
  5. If you accept, upload ad to the design section on your Twitter account.
  6. Notify TwittAd through your account maintenance page on TwittAd that the ad has been placed.

Payments are made via Paypal.

What to do if you are an advertiser?

  1. See the Examples Page for an idea on how to build your advertisement.
  2. Select “Buy Now” next to Twitter user’s background for ad placement.
  3. If Twitter user accepts pay TwittAd via paypal*.
  4. If Twitter user removes your ad before your time expires, you will receive credit from TwittAd for the time your ad was not served.

*You pay TwittAd a 5% service fee on the total purchase price. Minimum .99 cents.

Feedback

Personally, I won’t use this service. I think you can use your background image to promote your own blog for example. Also I think that advertisers have a disadvantage here, many people use twitter through services like Twitteriffic for Mac or Twitteroo for Windows to send and reply messages and usually, they do not visit user profiles ( at least I don’t ).

Make Money By Selling Ads With ViralBlogAds

August 16th, 2008

Written by Mr Javo

Some many bloggers in the Making Money Online (MMO) area, are constantly looking for new ways to make money online. One of the most common earnings of the bloggers comes through their private advertising sales: 125×125 banners, textlinks, ebooks etc…. Today, the team of the OIOPublisher Plugin for wordpress, which let you to sell your private banners keeping 100% of yours earnings, invited me to use their new service called ViralBlogAds.

What is ViralBlogAds?

ViralBlogAds is a Pay-Per-Click image ad network for blogs. Our focus is on producing a robust and easy to use advertising platform. We work closely with members through our feedback messaging system to continually improve the user experience.

For publishers:

To start displaying advertising in your blog, you need to add a single line of javascript code in the place where you want to show them. Also, it’s good to mention that you can perfectly customize these ads.

Sometimes in some networks we can find poor ads, and we have not control over them. At ViralBlogAds, you can block them from displaying using a domain blacklist. This feature is awesome because you can filter your competitor’s ads.

The Free Blog Ad Exchange Feature

To all active publishers, there is available to advertise their own blog if no banners are available  .

The Referral Program

At ViralBlogAds, as soon as you signup you could start referring people to this service, receiving a commission of 15% for life of their publishing earnings. There’s no excuse not to promote this great opportunity, as you know, referral programs are a great opportunity to make money in a passive way.

The Payments

As you can can imagine, the payments are made via PayPal. The details are unknown, because they are in their pre-launch phase!

For advertisers:

I have checked the advertiser menu, and I can say that it’s really easy to use. You can setup ad campaigns in few minutes, having full control over them.

For your luck, the advertisers also have the domain blacklist tool, enabling the blocking of specific publishers… This could not be neccessary, because every blog is reviewed before being allowed into the network.

Statistics are broken down into a daily archive, enabling advertisers to drill down to the stats of specific domains. This let you to analyse and tweak the performance of a campaign in a particular blog.

Conclusion

This seems to be a good program, another one which you can make a lot of money by selling advertising. Actually, they are in a pre-launch stage, so if you want to take part in to this project, hurry up and join to ViralBlogAds and start referring people, remember that you get 15% for life of your referral’s earnings!

Get The Bills Paid On Time

August 11th, 2008

Written by Mr Javo

In our life, some many times we are indebted with some bills, it’s natural. Some services gave us a grace period to paid our debts, but there are another ones which you need to obligatorily pay before the deadline. In the case of Webmasters like the Bloggers or Internet Marketers, paying the domain before the deadline is an important thing for their business. Although it’s not a big problem, the most of the hostings don’t cut your domain if you don’t pay the bill on time  .

I am the kind of people who prefer to prevent this kind of issues. So I was looking through Google and I find a great service which you can solve this. At ThinkCash you can get easily cash loans from $250 to $2500, perfect to cover life’s unexpected events like an emergency.

Something great I noticed in this service is the application system. As you may know, to get a loan or a cash advance through many payday loan companies, you need to provide (generally by fax) bank statements, phone bills an other kind of documents to valid your identification. At ThinkCash, you don’t need to provide any document, so how do you get approved? You need to fill their secure online form and immediately, they process you information and give you a response seconds later, at any time of the day or night. Once you get approved, you will receive the money the next business day.

Now you may be thinking about how to pay this credit. At ThinkCash, you can get the cash you need with convenient payment options that fit your lifestyle. I was looking through the site, and I found 3 payment options:

  • Installment payments: Getting installment loans can be very useful when you need the money fast. In this case you need to select the start date of your first payment and they will automatically deduct payments from your bank account. This way, you don’t need to worry about scheduling any payment, everything is automatic.
  • Prorated fees: There is another option which you can pay some or all of your loan early, and you will only pay for the time that you kept the loan. This way you won’t be charged in the future.
  • 24/7 Online account access: I think this is the easier way to pay this thing. You can access your account online any time to check your balance, schedule payments, and more.

The cost of your loan is based on the size of the loan you are approved for. It ranges from $1.00 per day per $100 borrowed (365% APR) for small, short-term loans down to $0.24 per day per $100 borrowed (87% APR) for larger, longer-term loans for customers with successful payment histories or higher credit scores. I get surprised with this due to their rates, because they are 25 ~ 75% lower than payday loans.

To conclude this post, I want to share with you the point which really attracted me on this service, and I’m talking about the Referral Program. As every referral program, you are rewarded to let a friend know about a service. In this case, when your referrals get their first ThinkCash loan, you get $25 directly into your checking account  .

Entrecard Launched The EntreBar

August 3rd, 2008

Written by Mr Javo

Hey bloggers, as you may know Entrecard is one of the most used tools on Internet by bloggers. Since the beginning, the Entrecard’s team have been upgrading the platform and today, they announced the EntreBar.

The EntreBar is a toolbar which lets you to surf the blogs registered on Entrecard by categories, advertise on them and write recommendations, among other Entre-options… Here it is:

As you can see in those images, it has some buttons which simplify all your activities on Entrecard. As you can see in the image above this text, you can surf blogs by Most popular, Newest, Cheapest, Most Expensive, Most Advertised and Random, once you chose a category (in the case of the pictures, they chose surf among their Favorites).

The two green arrows are the most amazing function. The single green arrow, works like the Stumble! button in the stumblebar, showing you the next blog. But also, the Entrecard’s Team think big and that’s the reason of the double green arrow. With that icon, you can open the next 10 sites following the specifications you want. Also it has a little heart which you can add/remove a blog to/from your favorites.

Conclusion

This bar is pretty good, I really like it because you don’t need to visit the Entrecard’s site to start visiting and dropping cards in other blogs… The only problem it presents is the compatibility, it only works with the Firefox browser. For me it’s not a problem because I use it, but if you are an IE, Opera, Netscape, Flock, Safari or another browser user, you cannot use this bar.

I invite you to give it a chance, download the EntreBar and share your experiences! If you want to get more details about this toolbar, visit the Entrecard Blog.

Scour: Get Paid For Searching

July 24th, 2008

Written by Mr Javo

Do you ever thought to have your favorite search engines in the same platform? Well, yesterday I was invited to use Scour, a system which merge Google, Yahoo and MSN search engines, bringing you all of their power together into the same website. When you use Scour search engine, those three engines are searched all at once, and the results will be shown on the same page.

How It Works

The Scour member is able to vote each listing up or down, based on the relevance of the keywords used by you. Also, you are able to write comments reviewing the listed sites. By blending users’ feedback, the Scour Team improve the search algorithms, improving the search and giving relevant results for your keywords.

With the Scour voting and comment system, their goal is to introduce the human element of searching allowing you and all other Scour members to speak up and help shape the results with every search. So if you see a result that doesn’t match with your search, vote it down! And in the other case, if you see a site that is exactly what you wanted, vote it up and leave a comment expressing why you liked it. After enough votes, the listings will move down in rank, placing the relevant ones where they should be, at the top! When using Scour you can read user reviews about websites based on your keyword taking a lot of the guesswork out of searching and getting to you destination quicker.

The Motivation

Did you know that search engines make billions of dollars a year in advertising revenue? Would be great if the users could get a piece of that… Well, with Scour you can earn Points which you can change for Visa Gift Cards!

Every member is awarded one point for every search, two points for a vote and three points for a comment with a maximum of 4 points a search. Also, they offer referral points for the friends you introduce to Scour where you can earn 25% of the points they make.

What about the point conversions?

  • With 6,500 Points you get a $25 Visa gift card.
  • With 12,500 Points you get a $50 Visa gift card.
  • With 25,000 Points you get a $100 Visa gift card.

It’s more than everybody currently make from searching, and if you invited 25 friends that used scour regularly in addition to yourself, that’s an easy $125 in your pocket for a year of what you already do! Also they have a calculator which you can check out how much you could earn.

It seems like merging social media with search engines it’s the new sensation on Internet, but will this work? If you can earn something for each search you make, why not? I mean, we have nothing to lose.

What are you waiting for? Join to Scour now and start earning points!

Monetizing Your Website With Market Leverage

June 26th, 2008

Written by Mr Javo

I was looking the results in the poll of this month Do You Most Want To Learn About….? And I saw that the most of the people voted that they want to learn more about Affiliate Marketing. Although the poll has not finished yet, I had decided to write a post about this topic, to feed some of my readers  .

Meeting Market Leverage

Market Leverage is an affiliate program, as others like NeverblueAds or PepperJam, which you can make a lot of money by promoting services or products. Market Leverage is considerably new, but since October 2007 they are working on this area to give us the best campaigns in the affiliate marketing. The following one, is a screenshot of their main panel:

Market Leverage ~ Affiliate Marketing

As you can see, it is very clean, and it offers the featured offers, news and updates… It is a very good panel where you can see what is hot in the market.

If you are a person who frequent blogs, perhaps you already noticed the Market Leverage banner in many blogs. And I mentioned their banner, because I want to make a little review about them:

As you can see it beside this text, it shows 3 main characteristics:

  1. The Industry’s Highest Paying Publisher Rewards Program: MarketLeverage is giving away a lifetime referral bonus for each Publisher you refer to their network. You can earn (5%) five percent of the commission for each and every Publisher you refer that signs up as a MarketLeverage Publisher.
  2. The Industry’s Highest Paying Lifetime Referral Program: MarketLeverage researched and reviewed the lifetime referral programs of every affiliate network that attended Affiliate Summit West 2008 and ad-tech San Francisco 2008. They could not find another affiliate network with a higher paying lifetime referral program publicly disclosed on their website.
  3. All Payments Sent to Publishers Via FedEx: You don’t need to be stressed about where are your checks, if they are safe or not. With FedEx, you will received your payment wherever you want, and you don’t need to worry about it. Your money will be safe with this program!

I signed up to this program the last week, and some days later I received a call from them. They asked me some basic questions and after that I got approved without problems. I want to say that they provide a good support, they are very friendly and they are willing to help you with anything you need.

I consider the third feature very important in this program, which can motivate to many people to join them. Why? because when you talk about affiliate marketing, you are talking about great amounts of money. There are involved many things like referral commissions, sales commissions and lead commissions, and you will earn money constantly if you know how to promote their campaigns.

I think that they should offer PayPal as another payment method. Paypal has become the standard payment method for the most of the programs, but I think they don’t offer this because your account can be held (in PayPal) if you receive huge amounts of money… However, FedEx is great for me  .

So if you hadn’t joined to Market Leverage, don’t wait more time and sign up now.
