NetAudioAds, The Next Advertising Generation

PerformancingAds

This morning I received an email just like many I receive every day with the subject “Advertising on Mrjavo.com”. The first I though was someone bough me a link or an 125×125 banner but was not, instead this mail was much better, providing me the opportunity to test a new innovator advertising service, here is the mail content:

Hello,
I represent a company that specializes in a new form of internet advertising that guarantees that you will get a 100% conversion rate on 100% of your website traffic.
Starting In February a revolutionary style of advertising will be launching. As the webmaster, you will be paid for each visitor that comes to your site and your visitors will not have to click on anything! All they have to do is arrive as they do now and you will be paid.
If you would like to know more about how this new system will work, contact me and I can provide you with more details.
Regards,

John

Advertising without clicks? What’s the catch?

How I had nothing to lose trying I replied the email to meet the service and I got the information of this new advertising system. NetAudioAds is a new media source that is 66,000 advertisers strong and they publicize ad space on the websites without taking up any of your web page real estate.

They will do this by serving a “single” 5 second audio advertisement to website visitors on any and every page of your websites where it would be appropriate for a visitor to hear a 5 second audio ad. The code that calls the 5 second audio ad is a simple javascript code that you paste anywhere between the <body></body> tags of any web page where it is appropriate for visitors to hear an audio ad. I heard some 5 sec sample singles and I have to say that these ads are very professional, I really like them in addition because the ads will be related to the content of each web page of your website.

Their advertisers will buy ad plays on your website for each of your visitors. In essence you will be paid on a CPM basis and the effective CPM that you receive will be determined by our automated bid management system. This bidding system will always work to ensure that you are getting the highest effective CPM possible. Of course bids will vary from market to market. They estimate payment at around 2.8 cents per visitor but bidding by big advertisers on February 1st is expected to be fierce so this figure could be much higher.

PPP only serves ONE advertisement to the visitor for 5 seconds. No more ads are played to the visitor unless they refresh the page or visit another page in your website that has the PPP code inserted. Reading the FAQ you will find some interesting questions/answers, for example you are able to add this code on free websites or blogs including blogger.com blogs.

Payments

NetAudioAds Pay-Per-Play pays all affiliates on a weekly basis. The more websites that you refer to this opportunity the more you will make, and they will pay either by PayPal or paper check mailed to your address on file. All checks will be issued in US currency so you must have the ability to convert this currency in your country.

In addition you can get paid on 3 tiers!, NetAudioAds Pay-Per-Play (PPP) offers a generous (RESIDUAL) compensation plan that is designed to pay you in several ways:

TIER 1: Get paid 25% of what the advertiser spends “per play” on audio ads that you serve on your website(s). You get paid for every visitor that remains on any web page (where you place your PPP code) for more than 2 seconds.

20% of Internet users do not have their audio system turned on but you will be paid for 100% of your traffic where an audio ad is served whether it is heard or not. The price that our advertisers pay already takes into account that only 80% of their ads will actually be heard.

TIER 2: Get paid 5% of what the advertiser spends “per play” on audio ads that are served on the websites of those that you personally refer to the Pay-Per-Play opportunity.

TIER 3: Get paid 5% of what the advertiser spends “per play” on audio ads that are served on the websites of those that your direct referrals bring on board.

Seems great isn’t it? may be you think “this samples will make my readers go away”, I though it too. But they’re just 5 seconds, I think 5 sec are nothing, however you can terminate your account by deleting the add code, but you need to tell them before to do it. So I think this advertising has two ways to take:

  1. It will kick asses and everybody will use it.
  2. Nobody will like the 5 sec sound and everybody will reject these ads, leaving the network and this company will be broke.

What do you think? I incline to the idea it will be rejected but how can I know it? anyways I will try it don’t you? The referral program will be close on 1st February, hurry up and sign up to NetAudioAds!.

Using MyBlogLog To Expand Your Community

Written by User ImageMr. Javo

Probably you’ve heard about MyBlogLog, a social media network part of the Yahoo Services, allowing you to meet other bloggers and their communities.

Why do you need MyBlogLog?

May be you are bored to join on every social media network over the web, but you don’t have choice, you may to join on every network you find out there  . MyBlogLog is one of biggest communities on internet enable you to track that last little bit of information about your website. You probably already know where your users are coming from and you probably already know what pages they’re looking at while they’re there. However, if you have a blog or any other site where you frequently post new content on the main page, you don’t have a good way of tracking what people find interesting. One way is to track when people click on the links you provide. Up until now, outbound link tracking has been a pain in the butt, requiring CGIs and managed links. MyBlogLog makes this process easy. But why do you need to know what people find interesting on your site? You can use it to tune your content to be even more compelling for your readers and to determine which stories you should follow up on.

Using MyBlogLog Effectively

Although MyBlogLog is not designed to build traffic to your site or to give you a community automatically, the most people with large communities have them either because their blog is popular and they advertise the community on their blog or because they message and talk with other MyBlogLog members and they join communities that are interesting to them and other members join their community as a result.

If your site is of interest to people, in the coming days you will see a number of people checking out your community, much like how people stumbled upon your blog in the early days. An effective way to attract some people to your community is adding them as friend when they visit your site and leaving a message in their profile just saying “thank you for….” that is very appreciated. You can do this looking the MyBlogLog gadget in your blog to see the latest MyBlogLog member visitors.

What’s The Benefit of Pro Stats?

MyBlogLog Pro gives you real-time stats and this is helpful to get real-time feedback on your links if you are a compulsive blogger  . If you don’t have a lot of traffic or simply you are not a compulsive blogger, the free version may be sufficient.

Additionally, MyBlogLog Pro gives you a longer list of “top links,” listing all of the links clicked on your site each day, which is useful if you have dozens of links. If you don’t have a lot of links the free version’s daily Top 10 links is probably fine for you.

You can purchase MyBlogLog Pro by a monthly subscription fee ($3/month) through PayPal and an annual fee ($25/year) by PayPal or Credit Card. The monthly fee will continue until you cancel the service. The annual fee must be renewed by you each year. You can upgrade your account to MyBlogLog Pro via the Edit Settings area of any of your blogs.

Sphinn ~ Internet Marketing Social Media

Written by User ImageMr. Javo

Sphinn, pronounce it “spin”, is a social media network focused in the topic of Internet Marketing News. It’s designed to search and meet marketers, to allow you to share and discover news stories, read and take part in discussions, discover events of interest and network with others. It works very similar to digg, if you see a new story or discussion you like, you can vote for it using the blue Sphinn icon. Just click on the words “Sphinn It,” and you’ve cast your vote — the words will change to “Sphunn” to indicate that your Sphinn was registered. Voting — called Sphinning here — is also an easy way to keep track of stories for future reference, since everything you Sphinn for is automatically recorded within your profile. Want to know more about a story? Click on the number in the icon, and you can see a full description about it plus any comments.

The topics are either news stories that have been submitted or discussions that have been started by Sphinn members. To view topics, select the “Topics” tab at the top of Sphinn pages. By default, you’ll see Hot Topics, but you can switch to What’s New view. More about these views:

  • Hot Topics : These are the most popular topics as voted by Sphinn members over the past three days. If you want, just the “Sort items by” links on the right-hand side of a Hot Topics page to narrow Hot Topics to today, yesterday, the current week or for the entire month.
  • What’s New: These are topics recently submitted by Sphinn members. Like one of them? Click on the Sphinn button to vote for it. Topics that get enough Sphinns can move to Hot Topics.
  • Greatest Hits: These are all topics submitted to Sphinn over time, listed in order of how popular they are.

You can also find those and more topics by categories, you’ll see categories listed in the top of Sphinn’s pages, such as “Yahoo” or “Searching.” Select a category to narrow topics to just those areas. Each category also has subcategories, allowing you to focus even further.

And as every social media network, in Sphinn you will find a Network section. The Network page is where you can search for people in addition to finding them through news stories and discussions. When you find someone, you can establish a relationship with them, you can have one of three relationships with other members. These are:

  • People You’re Stalking (Stalkees): See someone doing something interesting and want to keep track of them? Stalk them! Why bother? For one, it lets you send private messages to them, handy if they don’t publish their regular email. For another, they’ll see you’re stalking them — which is a first step to them possibly making you a friend.
  • Stalkers: These are people who find you interesting. It’s a one-way relationship, at this point. But you have the option to make it two-way. Use the “add as friend” option listed for any stalker to transform them into a friend.
  • Friends: These are people who you’ve either stalked and he/she decided to make you a friend, or who were stalking you and you decided to make a friend. In the future, we plan special ways for you to share things with your friends. For now, just feel good that you can have some. Go make some!

Tools & Toys

This is a community specially focused on bloggers, and thats why they have a series of tools for all us!. In the tools page you will find some tools very useful to you, no matter what platform you use. Those are the tools provided by Sphinn to your blog:

  • Sphinn Live!
  • Sphinn: Submit Via Bookmark.
  • Sphinn Button For Your Site.
  • Sphinn Custom Buttons For Any Blog.
  • Sphinn Buttons Especially For Wordpress.
  • Sphinn Buttons Especially For FeedBurner.
  • Sphinn For Facebook.
  • Sphinn For Macs.

Sphinn is a good social media network, and its better if you blog about the Internet Marketing niche. In addition, this community is very young, that means you don’t need to have thousands of sphinns to get listed in the Hot Topics list, just with ~50 sphinns is enough to be the first in this list, something impossible in digg.

If you are not in Sphinn you can join here!

Reviewing BlogsVertise

Written by User ImageMr. Javo

BlogsVertise is another way to earn cash and generate extra income from your blog. Their Advertisers want YOU to mention and talk about their websites products and services in your blogs and journals. They want the publicity, the exposure, the Buzz! that online bloggers and internet journals can generate for their web site products and services. In exchange blogsvertise pays YOU in paypal per task/blog entry, for writing / talking about / mentioning their website in your blog.

Something the most of people skip when they sign up in a program are the terms of service. I will be honest, I joined to BlogsVertise within reading the terms and I was thinking that BlogsVertise could be scam. Why I though BlogsVertise could be Scam ? Thats because I posted some campaigns the last year, ending November and Starting December more and less, and in about 2 weeks I get that posts approved. So then I read the terms and I found this:

  • Blogsvertise payments are made after 30 days your assigned task has been approved.

I pissed when I read that but I wait the stipulated time. Do you know when I received my payment? this week!! just like they say “payments are made after 30 days your assigned task has been approved” I received an email from paypal just 30 days after the posts were approved.

Sign up to BlogsVertise!

Moral: BlogsVertise is not scam, it’s just another program to get an extra income from your blog but is not the fastest on the payments. If you want quality and speed on the payments, you can consider joining to Smorty.

Experience Breed Perfection ~ Contest!

Written by User ImageMr. Javo

Yesterday I was dropping some E-Cards when I found a nice contest on Road 2 Blogging dot com. The contest it’s about what you have learned in 2007 that will help you to reach a higher blogging level on 2008. I found this contest useful and I think you can be interested to join:

The Prizes

  • 5 125×125 ad banners throughout the month of February on road2blogging.com
  • 1,000 EC Credits
  • $30 cash

How To Win

  • 3 entries – put up a post on your blog writing about what you’ve learned the most from blogging in 2007 and how this will help you for 2008.

Deadline

The competition will run until midnight (EST) on Monday the 28th January – so you have just under two weeks to enter. The winners will be drawn on Tuesday afternoon on the 29th and announced in a blog post. Winners will be chosen at random by random.org.

What I learned in 2007 and will help me in 2008 in my blogging level?

The last year was great for me, principally because I became a blogger. When you decide to create a blog in addition of the will, you must to have the determination to keep it up to date. Many people who want to be bloggers and have no such determination, write as crazies the first week, even the second. But the passage of time, when they have 1 or 2 months, stop writing with the same frequency. Gradually they bore what they do ( perhaps because they blog for money or just do something anyhow not fascinated ) and they sets aside the blog and ignore it completely. Last year I was learning about marketing, seo and blogging tips, and actually I keep doing it, this world never stop. However I was posting everything I learned and I will continue doing it, thats the point  .

I learned the importance of posting frequency and that will help me to write better posts depending if I’m animated or not, I could take day free of blogging and accumulate the content to write the next day with more quality.

The last year I was a little far from social media networks, I considered it a waste of time. Big mistake! ending 2007 I learned that social media can be a powerful way to expand your network and get tons of readers. Once I created this blog, I was using social media networks and I’m getting good results of them and I think I can improve that results with more dedication.

There is some many things I could quote from the last year and you can find it in every post I wrote. Everything I learned I posted for you to share ideas, and I hope continue providing you my learnings and experiences in the blogging world.
